A loan of $425 helped to buy boxes of liqueurs and various goods (cookies and candy) to sell.

Françoise's story

D. Françoise was born in 1957 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin.  She is married and the mother of five children who are all in school.  For nearly 15 years, she has been living alone in the Kowégbo district and is the sole breadwinner of the family.

Françoise has never been to school.  To support herself, she sells alcoholic drinks (liqueurs), as well as a variety of goods (cookies, candy, tissues, etc.) in Kowégbo.  She has 30 years of experience in this domain.  Dantokpa, the international market of Benin, is where she makes her purchases.

She is a previous ALIDé client who repays her loans.  With regard to bolsteiring her sales of liqueurs and increasing her working capital, she's requesting a fourth loan from ALIDé.
