Anecita's story

Anecita V. is from the village of Miputak. She is 47 years old, is widowed, and has five children, four of whom are adult and the youngest is school-aged.

Anecita owns and operates a business running a retail stall, selling a variety of agricultural produce and daily-use products in the local community. She has been engaged in her business for over thirteen years and earns approximately 3,000 PHP a month.

In 2006, Anecita joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 6,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to purchase additional inventory and used as working capital.

Anecita is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP which will be used for the same purpose. This loan will be her 10th from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
