A loan helped to increase his business merchandise and buy a rickshaw necessary to distribute his small items, which will increase his income.

Ibrahim's story

Ibrahim is a 33-year-old married Palestinian refugee and a father of four kids born and living in a refugee camp.

He didn’t have the chance to complete his education. He left school at early age during his elementary levels to financially support his parents and to make his living.

At the beginning, he got employed in a furniture selling showroom, and he was responsible for installing bedrooms.

He benefited from a loan from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua, and decided in January 2017 to open his own used furniture and electric appliances retail shop as additional business income. His wife helps him in running it.

Ibrahim decided to apply for his fourth loan from Al Majmoua to increase his business merchandise and to buy a rickshaw necessary to distribute his small items, which will increase his income.

Ibrahim seeks to develop his business and improve his family’s living, especially his beloved children's, and to succeed in providing them with the education he missed.
