A loan of $350 helped to buy groceries to increase stock inventory.

Cesaria's story

Cesaria, 31, is a member of the "Susana Galdos" communal bank which is in the Zapatero district, Lamas province, San Martín department. She lives with her life partner and they have two children, both of whom still are dependent on her. Her character and wish to continue to progress motivated her to start her own grocery store in her home the profits from which will help her meet her household expenses. She has steadily gained more customers from the time she started until today. She now can count on her regular customers who come to shop daily because they find all the products which housewives need and because they receive personalized attention from her with her characteristic charisma. With this 1000 sol loan she will buy sacks of rice and sugar, crackers, packages of pastas and salt, boxed milk and preserved fish in a variety of brands, flats of eggs and personal hygiene items to continue to give her customers the best attention. Cesaria very much wants to continue working and is grateful to the Manuela Ramos Movement for helping women like her to have opportunities to develop in their areas of interest.
