Obama Group's story

Domini K., age 34, is married with three children, ages 15, 5, and 1 year old. She is a tailor, selling tailoring equipment, sarongs, materials, fabrics, and handmade clothing since 2000. She works daily from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., managing to make a monthly profit of around $267.

This will be Domini's second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to expand her tailoring business and repaid the loan successfully. She hopes this loan will help her make her business even larger and more successful. She will use the extra capital to invest in more fabrics and tailoring equipment.

Domini will share this loan with her loan group, Obama, which totals 16 members. In the picture, Domini is first on the left front row, sitting on the blue chair.
