Lidia's story

Lidia, 38, is an enthusiastic woman. She lives with her partner, Andrés, 41, and their two children: Carlos, 17 and Brigitte, 12. This is a very united family. Lidia sells clothing. She began this occupation two years ago. She needed to feel independent and help to defray household expenses. From a very young age she has worked and, when she formed her own family, this could not be an exception. She starts work very early in the morning doing some of her household chores so that later on she can concentrate on her job, visiting her friends and neighbors to offer her wares. Lidia carries a lot of novel items in her clothing selections. She likes her job very much because it gives her freedom. At times, though, it can be fatiguing and more so during the Summer when the relentless sun "doesn't let her work in peace", as she says. Even so, she keeps a positive attitude and knows that if she continues to work as she has to date, she will see very good results. This is her fourth loan with MFP and she has always been very punctual with her repayments. With the funds requested now she will buy a large quantity of clothing items and also merchandise for the Christmas season.
