Hadiyya Group's story

Nariman is the featured borrower of Hadiyya group. She is a 33-year-old married Syrian refugee. Nariman is a hard working mother of five children. She moved with her family to Lebanon in 2011, after the war was destroying everything next to them. Since then, she worked in wax epilation and eye brow drawing for a living.

Today, she is acquiring this group loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua with the rest of the group members, based on the trust they share in between each other. Nariman is going to use her loan share to pay for medical surgery that her husband has to undergo. Syrian refugees do not have any medical insurance in Lebanon and they face may difficulties to get proper and appropriate health care. Nariman hopes that she would be able to return to her beloved coun
try Syria where all her dreams and memories still remain.
