A loan of $3,350 helped a member to buy some pharmaceutical products, such as antibiotics.

Makiese Plus Group's story

Annie D. is the leader of "Makiese Plus" which is a community bank of 29 entrepreneurs established in solidarity to have their small businesses prosper through loans received from Kiva and from the micro-finance institution HOPE RDC.  Annie manages her own pharmacy, which she started in 2003.  She likes her work and dreams of going further, thanks to this financial support.

Her ambition is to open one day a medical center for serving the people in her area and for expanding her work.

Annie is 34 years old, married, and the mother of only one child, who is four years old and in school.
