Matilda

A loan of $850 helped to buy fresh fish and meat in bulk.

Matilda's story

Matilda is a thirty-two-year-old married mother of five children, who are in school. She lives with her husband and children in a rented apartment in a farming-dominated community in the Western Region of Ghana. Most of the dwellers practice farming alongside other trading activities.

Matilda is a trader. She runs a cold store in her community. She sells fresh fish and all kinds of meat. Matilda says she also supplies to retailers and food vendors in her community. She buys the goods from big cold stores in nearby towns. She has been in business for four years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk to expand her business.
