A loan helped to start his own World cup accessories related retail selling business as an additional income to improve his living.


Raad's story

Raad is a 22-year-old Syrian refugee who, three years ago, started working in Lebanon in a gas station to make his living. He fled with his family to Lebanon seeking a peaceful living.

Raad is working hard to increase his own income which will reflect positively on his family's social and financial situation.

In addition to his limited monthly salary, Raad decided to acquire a special Syrian Refugee loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua, to start his own World cup accessories related retail selling business as an additional income to improve his living especially during this season. Raad is very excited to start this business, and hopes to hopes that this step will succeed, and lead him to more success in the future.

This is Raad's second loan cycle from Al Majmoua, his previous loan was invested in paying for his father's medical surgery expenses.


This loan is special because:
