Mujeres Emprendedoras De Micaela Bastidas Group's story

Enterprising Women of the Micaela Bastidas Communal Bank

Enterprising Women of Micaela Bastidas formed in 1995. It still exists because the members are very supportive, responsible, and punctual. They are also good friends. The market where the members have their businesses is 23 years old, the same amount of time they have sold there.

Reyna A. has a stand selling clothes. She started as a street vendor until she could buy a stand to exhibit her clothes in the market. Delia I. and Natividad V. sell in the meat section. They offer national and imported meat, which they bring from a slaughterhouse in the same district. Luis Auqui sells birds. Lili A. and Lucila B. sell footwear in the center of Lima. They tell us that they have a lot of competition. Even so, they are able to sell their products. The rest of the members have other businesses like selling vegetables, furniture shop, and a photocopier.

They are asking for the loan to keep improving their businesses and to have better incomes. All of them have one objective, to see their families with better living conditions.

In this group: Reyna, Luis Valentin, Natividad Nancy, Apolinaria, Silvia, Olga, Delia Dorotea, Lucila, Natilda, Diana Lourdes, Lili
