A loan of $350 helped to buy nutritionally balanced chicken feed.

Libbne Elizabeth's story

Libbne, 49, is separated and lives with her two sons in the city of Lambayeque, which is located 20 minutes away from the city of Chiclayo. She has raised and sold chickens for consumption since 2007. She buys lots of 100 one-day-old hatchlings from a distributor in the city of lima and she raises them until they are 45 days old. At that point, she distributes them among establishments that sell chicken meat in the city's market and in a few stores near her home. The demand for her chickens has grown because she feeds them nutritionally balanced feed in very good conditions. Libbne is thinking of buying a new lot of 150 chicks in order to enlarge her business but she lacks sufficient funds to do so. For this reason, she is asking Edpyme Alternativa for a 1000 new sol loan. Her greatest wish is to continue growing as a producer and having a large farm, finishing building her house, and continuing to support her children. She has worked with our institution previously and has shown herself to be a responsible client with respect to repayments.
