A loan helped to buy books and stationery to sell.

Augustine's story

Augustine is a third-time borrower. He is 56 years old, married, and has two children (ages 6 and 15). Augustine owns a bookshop where he sells books and stationery. His business is located near a cluster of schools in Kaneshie. Augustine has been in the bookshop business for the past nine years, but his major business challenge is having inadequate capital for buying more books and stationery to sell.

He needs a loan in order to buy more books and stationery that he can sell to the school children. Augustine will use the profit from his business to support his family. His hopes and dreams include expanding his business within the next five years. This is his third loan and he has a good repayment history.

Many thanks to the Kiva lenders for supporting Augustine’s business!
