A loan helped a member to cover plowing expenses.

Thin Group's story

Thin is 50 years old. She is a farmer, living in the Kratie Province of Cambodia with her husband and her only one school aged child. She and her husband have been growing cassava together to earn income to support the family’s living since 2012. They typically make around 15 USD per day.

Thin, the first from the left in the photo, would like to ask for a loan with the group of two members. As the group leader, she is going to use her share of the loan to cover plowing expenses in order to grow more cassava and increase her crop yields. With the profits from this season’s harvesting, she wants to add two more hectares of farmland, build a new house and help her child’s studies.
