Chien Group's story

Chien, 29, is a married woman who lives with her husband and four children, three of whom are students, in a village in the Kratie province of Cambodia.

To support her family, Chien operates a farm with her husband. Together, they have been growing cassava since 2013 and typically make around USD 15 per day.

In order to boost her output, she is now representing this group of two members in requesting a group loan.

She would like to use her share of the loan to pay for cassava seeds to grow. Chien sees this loan as an economic opportunity to support her agricultural activities and increase her family’s profits.
