A loan of $700 helped to buy wool.

Antonio's story

Antonio, 47, is a very hard-working man. He lives alone in his own house and what he most desires is to get ahead in life. His place of business is located in the Explanada Laguna Temporal (place where the city of Juliaca has its fairs). He sells clothing which he himself makes in his workshop. His designs are very novel and showy, reason enough for people to prefer to buy from him. What he most likes about his job is the weaving which he learned as a child from his mother. He has been doing this for 16 years and the most difficult part of the job is moving the bundles of clothing from the workshop to the sales stand. He hopes in the future to be able to buy more knitting machines so that he can produce better quality crafts. This is Antonio's fourth loan with MFP. He knows that he must repay in time and wants to do so even if that means having to work even harder. He is a very well-liked member of his communal bank. He will use the 2,000 soles to buy more wool with which to produce more items of clothing.
