Nem N., 23, is married and resides in Phnom Penh with her husband. She is currently employed in a local garment factory and earns an income of US $3.00 per day. Their family is supported mainly by her husband who is a construction foreman in the city. He earns US $5 per day, which is the primary source of income for the family and helps to pay for their household expenses.
N. and her family members are seeking to improve their standard of living. Therefore, N. is asking for a loan of US $1000 to purchase more cement so her husband can finish building his customer’s house.
