Mily's story

Mily belongs to the "Mujeres Activas" Communal Bank, in the District and Province of Bellavista in the San Martín area. She lives with her partner, is 37-years-old and is the mother of 2 children who still depend on her. Motivated by the need to earn income for her household, she started a small business selling groceries with a loan of S/ 1,000.00 and got very good results from the outset due to the quality of her products, her affordable prices and her good customer service. Currently, she continues to run the same business from her own home, where her main customers are her neighbors. With this loan of S/ 3,000.00, she will buy more products for variety such as rice and sugar by the kilo, cartons of eggs, products for the bathroom and cleaning the house, packets of soft drinks, sweets and other products to keep her clientele happy. Today, she feels very content with the work and service that she provides and she thanks the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for supporting people like her who want to work and advance. She hopes that they can continue doing so for a long time and that they help many families and enterprising women.
