Mbeyu's story

Mbeyu is a widowed woman with three children, none of whom attend school. She lives at her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food .

She has operated a retail shop business for the past three years, selling household consumables like wheat flour, maize flour, and sugar. She faces a major challenge of customers waiting too long to repay for goods taken on credit.
