A loan of $4,200 helped a member to purchase superior piglets and quality feeds and renovate the cage.

Center 2 Barangay Aranda Women's Association Group's story

Emmie is the head of the Center 2 Barangay Aranda Women's Association group. She paid off her loan by selling her two pigs. She built a cage behind her house.

From the sales, she gained net profit of PHP 6,000 for three months. Her pig’s weight reached the goal of 60–70 kg. Emmie is very happy with this result. Her husband supports the business and helps her to clean the cage and find traditional feed in her garden. Emmie has two children and both are attending school.

Most of the Center 2 Barangay Aranda Women's Association group members have sold their pigs and earned a satisfactory result. It's because they took very painstaking and diligent care of the pigs. To develop the business, they agreed to continue their loan. The loan will be used to purchase superior piglets and feed and to renovate the cage.

Emmie will use her portion of the loan to purchase superior piglets and quality feeds. She will keep them for fattening. She plans to sell them after three months.

Emmie has a dream to save enough money to build and expand her agricultural business. She hopes she can make it come true.
