A loan of $350 helped tO BUY ANIMALS TO RAISE AND SELL.

María América's story

María is the mother of a family. She is 49 years old and lives with her husband and one of her 5 children in the Mocape settlement, Olmos district, in Lambayeque province. Mocape is about 2 hours from the City of Chiclayo.

For the last 27 years she has dedicated herself to raising and selling farm animals. Her husband acquires the animals from venders in the zone. She is in charge of raising them and her husband sells them every Friday in the city of Chiclayo. Usually they sell ewes, goats and hogs. This is the only stable income that the family can count on.

She wants to expand the family business by buying more animals to raise and sell. For this reason she is soliciting a loan of 1,000 new sols through Edpyme Alternativa. María is a happy woman, hard working and very responsible. In the photograph she appears in a pasture with the ewes she is raising. In this zone it is very common to see ewes grazing freely.
