A loan of $2,800 helped a member working capital.

Corazon De Maria Group's story

The Corazon de Maria Communal Bank, represented by Ms. Norah, is comprised of 13 members who earn daily wages generated by their small businesses selling fruit, yogurt, empanadas, flowers, and food, or providing hairstyling or bricklaying services. In terms of competition, the group members are people who produce and sell high-quality products that they make themselves, which is why they have faithful customers who help them generate the profits necessary for their family expenses. For this reason, they need this loan in order to make their businesses grow by obtaining supplies, materials and the new tools that they need to make a greater quantity of products and offer better services. Thus, they can generate more income, which will allow them to give their families a better quality of life. Regarding experience with solidarity groups, a large majority of the members have previously worked with similar microfinance institutes, but none has ever given them the support and trust that the Fundación has given them so that they can make progress with their plans of growth, in so doing, giving their families a better quality of life.
