A loan of $500 helped to purchase stock of goats to sell.

Mwanakombo's story

Mwanakombo is married and has four children, all of whom attended school. She operates a butcher shop, which she has been doing for one year, selling goat meat. She faces a major challenge of drought in her business.

Mwanakombo requested a loan from Yehu, which she will use to purchase stock of goats to sell. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business. She lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.

This loan is special because:

It finances small entrepreneurs in the Kenyan coastal region.
