Maria De Los Santos's story

Maria de los Santos is 51 years old and single. Maria has seven children but none of them depend on her. She prepares and sells meals for a living. She has been in this business for more than 5 years. Maria started this business with much effort and sacrifice since she had to raise her children and simultaneously buy the basic grains to make her meals.Maria’s business goals are to improve her food’s quality and thus have more clients. The loan will be used to purchase basic grains for the production of gallo pinto (rice and beans), tortas rellenas (stuffed sandwiches), enchiladas, maduro (plantains), cheese and cooked eggs. Maria’s dream is to turn her small business into a restaurant so her children can have a better future.
