A loan helped to buy cereals and resell them at a profit, which will be used to meet the education expenses of her children.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca was born in one of the poorest homes in the humble village of Kitale, Kenya. Getting two meals a day was a major challenge for her. The situation was exacerbated when she failed to secure admission to a primary school, since her parents could not afford school fees.

The only fortune Rebecca inherited from her parents was farming skills, which have helped her to date. Rebecca is a mum who decided to put the skills she learned from her parents into action through farming. She practices dairy farming and poultry and crop production. Although this enterprising woman has been earning a profit, the meagre income she makes is not enough to meet all the basic needs of her household.

Rebecca wants to expand her business and earn more profit by selling cereals at her local market. The cereals business is one of the most profitable businesses in the Kitale region, where Rebecca is from, and she believes that she will be able to make additional profit.

This loan will therefore be used to buy cereals and sell them at her local market.

Rebecca is grateful for your consideration and goodwill.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
