A loan of $675 helped operating capital to buy ingredients.

Rosita Del Carmen's story

Rosita del Carmen is 39 years old and has worked with the Foundation for a long time. With each loan that she has received, Rosita has been able to make small improvements to her financial situation. She has two children, ages 20 and 8.

Rosita prepares and sells food. When she started this business, her husband was unemployed and both of them were looking for a source of income. Rosita came up with this idea because she enjoys cooking and had to take advantage of her specialty. On the weekends, a few of her neighbors request that she prepare her dishes for them.

She is requesting a loan to purchase basic grains (such as rice), beans, ripened bananas, sugar, and vegetables. Rosita dreams of establishing a restaurant with a family atmosphere.
