A loan of $350 helped buy supplies to make pre-ordered meals and buy cothes to sell.

Nancy Esther's story

Nancy Esther is a hard-working woman. She lives in the city of Pucallpa in the Ucayali region. She is 45, single, and has four children. Only the youngest lives with her.

Nancy sells fixed menu food. She does this in her house. She provides pre-ordered meals to people who work for a shipyard company.

She has been part of the Carmen Cabrejos communal Bank for nine years. The first loan she received was for 300 PEN. She used the loan to buy chickens and sell them from her house.

She currently needs a loan for 1,000 PEN to buy supplies for the meals she makes for the shipyard workers. She will use part of the money to buy clothing to sell to her customers. Nancy’s goal is to have a well equipped restaurant in her house.
