A loan helped to purchase more bags of sardines to sell.

Omary's story

Omary is a 51-year-old widowed mother of three, who are in school. She's been a fish monger, selling sardines for 15 good years. She normally opens her business from 8 a.m to 6 p.m daily. She earns a profit.

This will be Omary's second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loan to buy bags of sardines, cooking oil, firewood and salts. She earned a profit she used to support her family, pay some household expenses and reinvest in her business. She also managed to repay the loan on time.

She's applying for this loan to purchase more bags of sardines to sell. Her dream is to supply sardines countrywide in the near future. Omary will be responsible for repaying this loan.

This loan is special because:

It provides loans to borrowers in very deep rural areas via mobile money innovation.
