Lilia's story

Lilia C. is from the village of Libertad Alto, Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. She is 54 years old, is married, and has three adult children.

Lilia owns and operates a business making and selling food, selling snacks and other delicacies in the local community. She has been engaged in her business for over fourteen years and earns approximately 2,100 PHP a month.

In 2005, Lilia joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 9,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to to purchase additional inventory and used as working capital.

Lilia is requesting a new loan of 14,900 PHP which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This loan will be her 8th from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay her children’s tuition fees.
