M. Sarafina is the leader of her lending group in Ntungamo. She is 45 years old and married with 12 children, 4 of whom are still in school. She is a very hard working lady and for 20 years has had a business selling agricultural produce from Nyabugando Cell. Sarafina buys most of the produce from other farmers in addition to those from her farm. She is able to make 94000 UGX as profits a week, which enables her to save as well as pay for educating and taking care of her family. Sarafina needs a loan to help buy more seeds to plant since now is the rainy season, which is good for planting.
