A loan of $400 helped purchase grains, dairy products, meats and cleaning products.

Martha Georgina's story

Martha R. is 37 years old, she lives on the outskirts of Managua. She married young and has a 14 year old son, who is in school. She started a small mobile business selling fruits and vegetables, and with her husband's help, she was able to set up a small shop, which she has been running for 3 years. She also sells firewood, which her husband cuts down on their land. He is a farmer and rents land to cultivate. He grows beans and tomatoes and with this he supports and helps his family with their needs. Because of a lack of capital, they have not been able to increase their inventory. This loan will be used to purchase the basic goods customers purchase day to day, including rice, beans, oil, soap, cheese, cream, chicken, cleaning products, and the sale of firewood, in order to generate more sales and increase their savings, so they can improve their home. Martha thanks AFODENIC for the opportunity to improve her business.
