Rorn's Group's story

A local farmer from Kapong Speu province, Rorn is 53 years old and married. She overcomes her family’s hardship via rice cropping and working for others for a fee to make extra income. Having been with her current business for 35 years, it has helped her to keep up about $2 US dollars per day after expenses. Because of the drought, her farming did not produce good yield. Rorn has been with VisionFund for eight cycles, including this one, with a successful repayment of her past loans that enabled her to improve her lifestyle better than before. Now she is leading a group of two members seeking this new loan. As the group leader, she will spend her entire loan to buy a cow to plow her rice farmland in order to grow a good yield. She hopes that she will gain more yields that are better than last year's.
