A loan of $275 helped to diversify her current business by adding clothing.

Rehema's story

Rehema is a 35-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her relatives in the Morogoro Rural district in Tanzania. She is running a small business selling shoes. Rehema used her first Kiva loan to increase her inventory, and she is now requesting a second Kiva loan to diversify her current business by adding clothing. Rehema plans to use her profits to open her own shoe shop.

To pay off the social interest on her loan, Rehema volunteers weekly as a Camfed Transition Guide, helping new CAMA by leading sessions from the Transition Program and facilitating discussions on best practices for starting a business.
