A loan of $800 helped purchasing materials and tools to make more cow bells.

Chan's story

Chan L., 28, pictured with her husband, is married and lives with two of her children in the Takeo province. She and her husband are farmers; additionally, they make cow bells to sell at the local market. They typically make about US $2 each day.

The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year and inflation has also been out of control. These factors have made this a tough economic year for many Cambodians, Chan L. included. In light of these economic difficulties, she is asking for a loan of US $800 to purchase materials and tools to make more cow bells. She is confident that this loan will allow her to increase her daily income and to better support her family.
