A loan of $350 helped to purchase stock of wheat flour, maize flour, rice and sugar.

Mwanapili's story

Mwanapili is married and the mother of six children, all of whom attend school. She lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees for her children.

For the past two and a half years, she has operated a food-selling business, preparing food like chapati, sima, beef stew and tea for resale. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business.

With the funds she is requesting, she wants to purchase additional stock of wheat flour, maize flour, rice and sugar to be used in her business. She decided to join Yehu to access funds to boost her business.
