A loan of $300 helped to purchase soap, clothes, and coconuts for resale.

Shilingi's story

Shilingi is married and has been blessed with five children who are in school. She lives at her own house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees.

For the past six years, she has operated a clothes selling, coconuts, and soap business. Her challenge in the business is transportation.

She decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve her business. With the funds she is requesting, she wants to purchase soap, clothes, and coconuts for resale in the business. She dreams of opening a new kiosk in the future.

This loan is special because:

It finances small entrepreneurs in the Kenyan coastal region.
