Santos's story

Sra. Santos is a member of the Communal Bank “Las Trabajadoras” (The Workers), which is in the District of Juanjui, Mariscal Cáceres Province, Department of San Martín. She is 38 years old, in a common law marriage, and the mother of a 10 year old daughter. Santos works in order to support her daughter.

For the past 10 years, she has operated a haberdashery in the central market of the district. Her store is well-equipped to accommodate her customers. She indicates that her business is doing well. Santos works hard every day so that she can fulfill her dreams and provide her young daughter with a good education so that she can become a successful professional. At the moment, she has loyal customers who come by her store every day to shop. She welcomes everyone individually with her charming personality.

With this loan of 3000 soles, Santos will buy a variety of merchandise for her haberdashery such as plastic toys for children, rolls of elastic, lace in different designs, threads, and buttons in different colors and sizes. She will also purchase cosmetics such as colognes, crèmes, lipsticks, and nail polishes of different brands. The additional inventory will enable her to attract more customers and keep them happy. As a results, her earnings should be higher.
