A loan of $4,475 helped a member to buy merchandise to expand their businesses.

21 De Enero Group's story

The group "21 D. Enero" (January 21st) has twelve members and is represented by Sra. Marianela. Fifty percent of the members are merchants selling children clothes, perfumes and jewelry. One of the members has a beauty salon. Another member sells different wholesale products. He is in constant contact with his clients in order not to lose his market; he is a great salesperson. The group’s president sells silver and gold plated jewelry. She gives her clients the option to pay by cash or in installments; she is a great businesswoman. They have all known each other for a long time and have a special affection towards each other. For the sake of their families’ future, they have high expectations for the future growth of their businesses.

There is high competition in their businesses, but year after year the group members have worked hard to ensure they sell enough to support their families.

This loan will be used to buy merchandise to expand their businesses and to buy a retail space. Although this is their first loan, they have a lot of experience with other communal banks thanks to other financial institutions similar to Fundación AgroCapital. They are thankful for the trust and financial support that Fundacion AgroCapital has given them.
