Byamba's story

Byamba C. is 40 years old and lives with his wife and two children in the Uvurhangai province of central Mongolia. His daughter and son, 13 and 11, respectively, both attend a local secondary school, while his wife helps C. with the family clothing retail business. Currently, he rents space in a large market, but he is in the process of building their own retail space and should be finished by the end of the year. C. purchases clothing from China and resells it at his shop for a profit. He also operates a transportation business. C. is requesting a 4,000,000 tugrug (approx. 2,780 USD) loan in order to purchase a large amount of winter clothing from China so that he can keep growing his clothing retail business.
