Mumtaz's story

This is Mumtaz, a 24-year-old woman from Multan, Pakistan. Mumtaz is a mother of four children. Her native language is Saraiki, which she speaks with her family, and she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business. They live in their own house made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

Mumtaz makes fancy leather shoes and sells them in the market. Thanks to her skills, Mumtaz provides for the daily needs of her family. She is a very skillful artist with a high demand among local markets. Mumtaz shares her living with her husband, who is also involved in art work.

Mumtaz’s only difficulty is the lack of raw materials - that's why she applied for this support. Mumtaz needs your help to pay for raw materials such as leather, thread in different colors, glue, etc. for her work making leather shoes. This will allow her to earn more and to improve her family's living standards.
