A loan of $2,375 helped a member working capital.

Los Tusequis Group's story

The “Los Tusequis” communal bank is represented by Nelly and maD. up of 13 members, who are in their second loan cycle, having demonstrated responsibility, commitment and organization; an example of which is that they themselves decided to meet half an hour prior to the set time so that when the technical advisor for any contingency arrives they have already come up with a solution and have it ready for the advisor when he arrives. Most of the members are involved in sales of various kinds like cosmetics. Two of the members make milk-based sweets to sell, others have small neighborhood snack stores where they sell soft drinks, grilled meats, curtains and clothing in general. Competition in the food sales area is standard but in the cosmetics area it's pretty intense since they aren't the only ones and they need to try so much harder to get orders that produce enough profits to support their families. For this reason they need new financing to face their competition and to have working capital to help generate increased profits by offering a wider variety of merchandise.
