Susan's story

Susan O. is from the town of Clarin. She is 34 years old, is married, and has one school-aged child.

Susan owns and operates a specialized retail store selling okay-okay (used clothing) in the local community. Susan has been engaged in this business for six years and earns approximately 2,000 PHP a month.

In October 2009, Susan joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan of 7,000 PHP which will be used to buy more used clothing to sell. This will be her first loan from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living condition of her family.
