A loan helped to purchase a freezer so she can also sell frozen foods, ‎much requested by the customers in her area.‎.

Lea's story

Lea purchased a mini-market together with a partner over a year ago. Lea ‎invested the money to buy ownership and the partner was the manager. ‎Unfortunately, her partner mismanaged the business and left. Lea decided that ‎she would save the business and first began working with a business ‎consultant at her local small business association (SBA). She knew how to ‎keep her customers and make sure the stock fit the busy neighborhood ‎where her mini-market is located. What she needed from the SBA, was to learn ‎how to better manage her finances and plan for the future. Lea has succeeded ‎in improving her business. ‎

Lea needed this loan to purchase a freezer so she can also sell frozen foods, ‎much requested by the customers in her area and for additional stock.‎

Lea's minimarket is in a neighborhood combined of university students and ‎longtime residents. She wants to continue to provide products that keep her ‎customers from needing to travel to the farther away supermarkets. Lea's goal ‎is to keep her business thriving, hire staff and make sure she builds her ‎savings.‎
