A loan helped to buy cereals such as cowpeas and lentils to sell at the market, so that as a hardworking mom she can pay for her children's education and build a modern house.

Hellen's story

Hellen is a mom who was born into a humble family. She lives in a post-election conflict area where insecurity and high poverty levels have affected the community a lot. Although she has gone through all these challenges, she has come out triumphant.

Hellen resides in the lush hills of Siongiroi, in the Rift Valley of Kenya. As the key breadwinner of her family, she has been practicing mixed farming for the past 9 years. Because of the immense knowledge she has of farming, she commands a lot of respect from other farmers in her village. Her primary source of income has been milk, eggs, and crops.

Although she has been making profits from farming, Hellen has identified a market for selling cereals. The only big challenge she faces is lack of funds. She is requesting a loan to buy cereals. She intends to buy different varieties of cereals, that is, cowpeas, lentils, maize, beans, rice, wheat, barley, and millet, to sell in the local market. A market for the cereals is never a problem because the demand is always high, and she plans to take advantage of that.

Because of the good relationship she has with her neighbors, she plans to increase her market by using word of mouth to reach more customers and markets.

Kindly and humbly lend to this mom!
