Khann S., 28, is a farmer living in Takeo province with her husband and child. She typically makes $1 USD each day and her husband makes about $8 USD in revenue working in a motor-taxi business.

The climate conditions for farming have been unfavorable in Cambodia this past year and this has caused food prices to soar. Inflation has also been out of control, and this has turned into a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, Khann S. included. In light of these economic difficulties, she is asking for a loan of $600 USD for her husband to replace an old and unreliable motorbike.
