M. has had to overcome some challenges in life, such as caring for her children, especially as she is separated from her husband. She is the one to pay school fees for her children. She has also had to cope with the death of her father and ill health.

M. sells drinks and food. She plans to invest this loan in the purchase of drinks, crates, pots, dishes, groundnuts and plantains.

This will be M.'s fifth time to receive a loan from GHAPE. She has been a member since 2003. She has been quite successful in the past with her business due to the location of her business and her reasonable prices. Also with experience, she is now experiencing good profits from her business. Part of her profits from this loan will be used to take care of her children, to buy necessities for the family and give them good medication whenever they are sick; she will invest the rest of her profits in her business.
