A loan of $600 helped to buy motorcycle replacement parts to improve customer service.

Lino Jose's story

Lino José Gutiérrez, 25, lives in the Agusto Farría neighborhood, which is in Masaya. His wife works as a shopkeeper to help meet household expenses; they have a two-year-old son. His future plans for his family is to be able to build their own home since they currently share space in his mother-in-law's house and it is very difficult to have any privacy for his family. For the past three years, Lino has worked as a bicycle sales- and repairman. He started his business using his wife's savings and his severance pay from his former job. A year later, he is grateful to Afodenic for having approved his first loan which he used to buy various replacement parts. He managed to repay in a timely fashion. Now, he would like this second loan to buy motorcycle replacement parts to offer his customers better service. In the future, he would like to buy a space in the market so that he can work from there and earn higher profits to build his house since building materials are very expensive and he must proceed little by little to give his family their own, suitable housing.
