A loan of $575 helped bolstering her working capital.

Diara's story

Ms. Diarra B. is a member with a lot of experience within the branch office of Baye Laye because of having already had five previous loans. The purpose of her current loan is to buy palm oil for bolstering her inventory. She is a merchant with highly diversified businesses. She has rented three twin stalls at the Guediawaye marketplace where she operates.

Besides the palm oil that she markets, she also sells cloth and maintenance products, for example, detergents. She capitalizes on four years of experience in the field of poultry farming.

She supports the family because she is married and the mother of ten children, who vary in age from 9 to 31 years. Plus, she has another person in her care. For these reasons, she is more motivated during this period ahead of the holidays, such as Tabaski, Korite, or New Year's Day, when business is the most profitable.

Her goals are to bolster her savings, to meet her personnel needs, to cover the costs of schooling her children, and to realize what she has always dreamed of, that is, to have her eldest son travel.
