A loan of $1,000 helped purchase new clothing to sell.

Dora Sandra's story

Dora Sandra C. lives in the department of Santa Ana with her two children, Jose (age 17) and Bryan (age 11). Both of her sons are students. Dora is a single mother and has been working 16 years as a street merchant selling clothes for children, women, and men. She travels to different neighborhoods throughout El Salvador to sell her products so that she can acquire as many customers as she can. Dora hopes to increase her inventory by adding other varieties of merchandise, such as undergarments. For this reason, she is requesting a loan so that she can increase her sales. Generating an income is of great importance since this is her only means of financial support for her family.
