A loan helped to purchase cattle for her animal sales business and increase her income.

Shahlo's story

Shahlo is 39 years old and widowed, with two children. She is raising her children alone. She has been raising livestock since 1999, and this is her family's primary source of income. Thanks to Shahlo's hard work, and her children's help around the farm, she now has a large number of cows and sheep.

In order to further develop her business, Shahlo has approached IMON for a loan of 10,000 TJS. She will use the money to buy more cattle so that she can increase her number of livestock. The profits from the loan will help Shahlo to improve her family's living conditions.

Shahlo is a returning borrower and has a positive credit history. She is asking for a loan for the second time through Kiva’s field partner. She awaits your support.

This loan is special because:

It supports low-income female farmers while minimizing interest payments.
